Recognizing Participles
Introduction



Lesson: Moving a participial phrase to the head of the sentence effectively varies sentence structure but can be used inappropriately. This first lesson simply identifies WHAT PARTICIPLES ARE. The next lesson will look at PARTICIPIAL PHRASES and will demonstrate how readers interpret them so that you may use them without sending wrong signals.
