Biological Control Guidelines

    In order to safely work with biological and etiological agents in teaching and research laboratories at Youngstown State University adherence to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines must be followed.  Before ordering any potentially infectious agents that may cause morbidity and/or mortality users of these agents must be familiar with all applicable protocols regarding the ordering, storage, use, and disposal of such agents.  It is mandatory that the users of these agents be familiar and adhere to the following guidelines.  If you have any questions regarding the safe use of any infectious agent contact the biosafety control officer at extension 3700.
