Sponsors: A vital part of the Physics Olympics

The annual YSU Physics Olympics brings together the brightest science students from high schools in a five-county area. We usually have 30 high schools and more than 350 students participate in this day-long series of 12 events.

The competition is followed by an awards ceremony, during which team trophies, medals, and event prizes are awarded. It is a highlight for the students and recognizes and encourages their hard work.

A number of loyal and much-appreciated sponsors makes the presentation of these awards possible. This type of financial and moral support is vital to the success of the Olympics.

Companies or organizations may help underwrite individual events with $300 donations. The sponsorships provide $100 savings bonds to the first place team members and $50 savings bonds to the second and third place team members. Each sponsor is listed in the official program distributed on the day of the competition to participants and visitors. Sponsors are encouraged to display a banner or sign with a company logo. Sponsor employees may also volunteer to serve as judges.

If you would like to sponsor an event, please contact Roy McCullough at (330) 941-7110 or (330) 941-3616.
